Research Interest

Cervera arquitectos are pioneers in the research of Bionics, Biomimicry and the application of biological structures into an innovative architecture and urban design, reaching efficiency and increasing beauty through bio-inspired solutions. A direct result of these studies was the discovery of a new concept: Bio-Structure. By applying this new model to high-rise spaces the Self-Sustainable Vertical Garden Bio-City was developed. This bio-structure, which can reach up to 1,220m high, proposes an entirely new urban model for Megacities that grows in vertical returning land to the earth. Lately the most innovative research is related to the using of living species in the traditional construction to improve environment.
